Counselling, Supervision and therapy in Preston
Welcome to my website!
My name is John Dunn and I have practised as a qualified counsellor for over 23 years.
I am based in Penwortham, within easy reach of Preston, Fulwood, Kirkham, Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Chorley, Ormskirk the Fylde Coast and East and West Lancashire.
Counselling and supervision take place in a dedicated room in my home where I work with individuals for a mutually agreed number of sessions.
My counselling approach is based on psychodynamic theory and practice which enables clients to explore issues at the root of their presenting difficulties which can include areas such as stress, relationships, anxiety, bereavement and loss, redundancy, depression, addictive behaviours and so on.
I offer all potential clients a free assessment session where we can explore whether counselling with me may be useful for you.
I am also able to offer supervision to both experienced and trainee counsellors either locally to Preston, (Chorley, Leyland and the Fylde Coast) or, where there may be distance or a difficulty in travelling I can offer supervision via Skype.
I work to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP) code of ethics and professional practice and hold membership status within BACP.
